i walked away from it 28 years ago

and today
out of nowhere

i ran smooth into it

it was just there

so i did the polite thing and
looked at it

thoroughly
from all angles

i postulated it's existence
in an eternity of dimensions
and realities
that could only be held
momentarily
within the realm of imagination

i even empathized with it

at least for the span of a second or two

and after
SERIOUS CONSIDERATION 
i realized it was as useless as it had been
when i walked away from it 28 years ago

so i walked away from it a second time
