Oh no, I'm an old fart, you will be great much sooner than this.
I'm well beyond my 30s. I wasted too many years doing simple children drawings at work.
Which is why when I joined DeviantArt I decided not to post that stuff and unleash my natural mental sickness (like the one above). :D (Big Grin)

When I was 19 I couldn't do it either. Then I went to art school, but even that didn't help dramatically. Now I work digitally because I like computers and technology, but if I had to go back to traditional techniques I think I'd be working with pencils and watercolors.
Keep trying everything until you feel a "connection" with a particular method and technique and then dive in it as much as you can.
You will do great things, don't worry. ;) (Wink)
