Wanted to answer here since I wanted to answer anyway but Dobson disabled comments so I couldn't directly.
I recall seeing some not overly sexual but still pinup-y art floating around of Annie, it looked genuine but it could also be a fan that draws quite close to the original style, so I can't fully vouch on the pinup art. However, some characterization in the comic itself is slightly offensive, and it doesn't help when the artist has been interviewed by a couple of feminists and says he really believes in creating well rounded female characters. It's by far the best comic on the list, but there's small things, like Annie being desperate for makeup in those side comics or the way Kat not being girly ended up in her being a lesbian that are a bit... eeeehhhhh... in my eyes. But other than that, GKC is a good comic, don't get me wrong. I'm not a hater, but it just fit in the list I was making on things that tried not to be offensive but ended up being offensive.
And yeah, sadly, a lot of people sexualize underage characters. I think the main character of Dresden Codak, which I also listed and which has a ton of semi-naked or fully naked art in the comic itself (at censored angles but still) is also underage, or questionably around 18. I may be getting it wrong though. I hope I am, and I hope she's really older and the guy just fails at storytelling.

Haha, don't worry, I didn't think you were a hater or anything, the comment about pinups just threw me for a loop because I'd never seen anything like that in the comic.
The makeup thing I can understand since it seems to be her mother's subconscious influence, as well as representative of the "mask" she wears, and she's out of her element and I can see craving it as a sort of security blanket.
Kat's sexuality I just find completely baffling. It goes against all of her prior characterization. She's been totally boy-crazy up to this point with numerous male crushes and has never shown the slightest interest in girls whatsoever. Then, a humorous misunderstanding causes Paz to think Kat is hitting on her and that actually causes Kat to question her sexuality..and realize she's gay? And everyone else in the comic acts like "oh, we could see it all along" and I'm like "WHAT could you see? Because I'm not seeing anything."
In fact the whole "tomboy" thing has been taken to extremes lately too...showing Kat as uncomfortable in any kind of feminine clothing. even her school uniform. Despite the fact that's she's had no trouble wearing it in the past or going around with girly hairstyles like pigtails. Now suddenly she's only comfortable if she can dress like a dude.
Meh...I just don't get it. But nobody else seems to care about the characterization issues because Yay Lesbians!

I, too, can understand make-up. Some teenagers like to wear it, some teenagers like their physical image, etc. But it just seemed to be so out of nowhere. Much like Kat's evolution, they weren't really hinted at before that Kat would be a lesbian or Annie would be so desperate to look as feminine and grown up as possible. It's probably just a schism in the writing or one of those 'it feels better if I change it to this' things, but yeah.
And yes, I fully agree with your rant, don't apologize for it 
And yeah, the fans loving the lesbian thing is one of the reasons why it always feels like people often use these 180 character turns just to get shippers happy or such. Kinda sad. It's your story, not theirs. He clearly wanted Kat in the start to be straight and just not the girliest being possible, but now it feels like he stayed around on tumblr a little too much.

Was just giving Zabani a tip on how to find a few more Engie artworks - put in "Prometheus Engineers" (plural, not singular).
You could actually put your fanfic on DA too-there is a literature category. Doesn't guarantee anyone will read it here, but I found FF.net by seeing a story on DA and going over to the author's FF account. Its a thought...

I actually have tried to put my stories on Deviantart in the past, but I can't figure out how to do it. It always says that the individual chapters are "too long" and that I need to upload an image with them or something like that. I can't really figure out what they mean. Do they want me to draw something? 'Cause that ain't happening XD

There should be some set of rules for how long chapters can be. I find it interesting your chapters don't fit under the limit. There's a person writing an Avatar fanfic they post on DA, and it is accompanied by HUGE files of stuff the author labels as apocrypha.
I tried to bypass the image thing, then gave up and used a screenshot from the movie. You can do that or use the crack pairing picture nuclear-metallity made, if she will let you. Screenshots/screencaps you can scavenge up with a google search or by going to a couple of movie forum sites (Prometheus Forum, Prometheus Movie Forums). Alien Predator Italia has a bunch of threads on each creature from Prometheus, and a sweet collection of Engineer images.
