Hey man, don't let what we all said weigh you down to the bottom of the well. Let me assure you that your 5 years of drawing was not a waste and if you compare your oldest work to your newest, you'll see that there's a big difference.
But what I will say is that you aren't pushing yourself enough to properly improve at the pace you want. If you really do love art, I highly suggest you to keep trying and keep improving. Move away from your comfort zone of drawing pokemons and try different things. Sure it'll probably suck, but the more you fail, the more you can build upon and faster you get to having to the quality art you want to achieve.
